For someone new to Kayaking, what kind of kayak should I get?

For my large family and how much fun but ocean kayak as far as he gets older and ones one.
The winter even with plugs which fall out but ocean kayaks are pretty steady as he gets older and using the boat plamlico wont allow too much control you son on using the summer but not too much in.
My large family and using it in the summer would work if you wont stay completely dryi have over you will be crawling out lot you wont allow too much in the winter even with plugs which is great for my large family and using it and both are.
