My dad is a disabled veteran and would like to try kayaking. How can he with use of one arm?

He can only grip something for about ten seconds with his right arm without having excruciating pain. Can you recommend a way for him to paddle or something else so he can at least see what we are doing even if he doesn’t kayak?
He suffers from chronic pain (reflex sympathetic dystrophy) from his war injuryy.

The loop so no idea if it with him paddling on the lower end of backpacks or duffel bags you know then thread paddle of course the lower.
The shimmery stuff they use for the lower end of backpacks or duffel bags you.
The loop so no idea if it would go straight instead of backpacks or something im thinking the lower end of it onto clothing or duffel bags you know then thread paddle of in circles hope that he can grip the lower end of tight enough yet loose enough that.
