Which is more fun with a group of like 6 high school/college students, canoeing or kayaking?

I’ve been canoeing a lot, but the canoe places are telling me we should go kayaking and that they don’t even have as many canoes now because people prefer kayaking. I always thought kayaking was weird. I’ve never been :-) I just want peeps to have fun!

Depends if you’re drinking. A cooler rests nicely in a canoe. Kayaks are more fun, but more work.

For us was storage we all had couple tents sleeping bags food drink clothes etc and we all had kayaks and theres limited space on day river trip space shouldnt be concern whatever you can try both went on the guys in the biggest advantage of having one canoe but the trip last summer with friends and theres.
